| The mission of Malashock Dance is to illuminate the power of dance as an invaluable part of the human experience. It is a gathering place for artists to create new work, connect with audiences, and offer unique educational opportunities. We believe dance belongs to everyone. |
| Dear Friend, What an exciting time to be involved in Malashock Dance! As we embrace our evolution into a community-centered organization, we are already experiencing how this has a positive effect on every aspect of our programs and operations. Fostering a sense of community, expanding what dance can do, and creating spaces where people feel they are valued is what drives me as a leader. I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible team of dancers, administrators, board members, and faculty who are essential to the success of Malashock Dance. They inspire me every day as they create a space where we can be brave and authentic because that is the space where creativity thrives. I hope you will engage with us in as many ways as possible. This month we have created opportunities for you to enjoy an open community class with our resident artist, Tristian Griffin, attend an open rehearsal to experience how dance is made, attend our production of Perpetual (E)motion, and see a free performance in our studio performed by the Malashock Dance Company and Junior Company. Thank you for your support as we continue to share our love of dance with you. Warmly, Molly Puryear, Executive Director |

| | | STUDENTS NEED YOUR SUPPORT Malashock Dance is committed to removing financial barriers that prevent students from creating, innovating, and growing through dance. Our Outreach Programs bring free dance programs to under-served students, low-income families, individuals with disabilities, and communities that lack access. Innovative programs strengthen our local schools’ ability to provide holistic learning. This year Math in Motion was requested by 52 classroom teachers! Residency programs, field trips, and arts integration programs serve 4,000+ students each year. We are looking forward to bringing hundreds of students on a field trip to perpetual (e)Motion next month. More schools and students than ever need free programs and scholarships to participate. Donate today! With your support, dance can belong to everyone. |
