This month, I'm excited to be digging into the creation of new choreography to the music of Matthew McBane, a composer that I am just now building an artistic relationship with. Matt's work is varied and hypnotic and gorgeous and emotional and driven. It feels great to dance to his music. On January 27th, we will open the studio again for another Behind the Movement event, where I will start in on a new section of choreography to one of Matt's pieces, and you can watch the creation happen before your very eyes. After that, we go full steam into rehearsal for our shows in March. But more about that soon... This rare “behind the scenes” look into the process of the choreographer and dancers is a truly unique experience. The completed work will premier in the 30th Anniversary Concert March 17 – 25, 2018 at the Lyceum Theater. Enjoy light bites and beverages, interact with fellow dance-lovers and our staff and Company in the beautiful Abbe Wolfsheimer Studio at Malashock Dance.
