Dear Friends, 

The 2nd Annual ART OF DANCE Fundraising Celebration is a unique intersection of high fashion, modern dance, and beautiful art. This is NOT your typical gala! We are honored to have Dame Zandra Rhodes as our Honorary Chair and Patricia O'Connor as our Chair. A team of talented fashion designers is hard at work creating unique costumes and gowns inspired by well-known artworks by Renior, Van Gogh, and Toulouse Lautrec, and John Malashock is creating choreography based on the same works of art. All will be unveiled at the ART OF DANCE on May 26th! This gala is for EVERYONE - with tickets ranging from $50 - $250, there is an opportunity for everyone to get involved and show their support for our Education and Scholarship programs that serve thousands of children throughout San Diego.

THE RIDE was fun! The dancers looked great. The music was awesome. Audiences stood and cheered. I loved that people loved this show. Thanks to all of you who came and celebrated our 30th with us.

Now we move on to our next celebration with THE ART OF DANCE. This incredible fun-raising event helps ensure that we can continue to share the gift of dance with young people in our community. The Abbey on 5th Ave is a totally unique space and I know everyone will have a great time. I certainly plan to!

Now that I have come up for air, after THE RIDE, I am turning my attention to plans for next season. Details coming soon…
