Dear Friend,

This month we are looking forward! June marks the end of our official 2021-2022 Season, and we move with purpose into our summer educational programs and plan an outstanding 2022-2023 Season for the Company. Thanks to a dedicated and enthusiastic staff, our caring faculty, and talented dancers we have successfully provided the mission-driven programming we so passionately vision. We still have 20 days to meet our fundraising goal for this Season, and your donation now will leverage even more support from our local foundations and government resources. If you haven't donated this year, please consider a small monthly pledge or one-time gift now, that will set us up for success in the year to come. Your generosity and support of the arts makes the world a better place, and we are so grateful!

With Gratitude,

Molly Glynn Puryear, Executive Director / 619.260.1622 ext. 2

“ 'Kindred,' by Island Moving Company director Miki Ohlsen, is a sort of Romeo and Juliet tale that features meltingly exquisite partnering by IMC dancers Katie Moorhead and Greg Tyndall."

"Malashock’s work displayed his signature acrobatic partnering and sweeping emotional range, from playfulness to romanticism to combativeness."

- Janice Steinberg, San Diego Story

"The society Griffin creates onstage feels dangerous … and like an apt reflection of the present moment, in which the show took place outdoors on a chilly evening since we’re not yet done with COVID; and with a flag directly behind center-stage flying at half-staff in honor of the country’s latest mass shootings."

- Janice Steinberg, San Diego Story

THANK YOU to our patrons who attended Horizons! The collaborative nature of the performance. Check out the beautiful quotes, and let us know your thoughts by completing the audience survey!

VAPA Level Up Enrichment Program

We are excited to be joining schools and arts organizations from all over San Diego to provide programming for students throughout San Diego. The Level-Up Enrichment Program will include fun activities and/or camps provided by non-profit organizations at SDUSD Summer Sites and off-campus locations. Students can only enroll in ONE enrichment program and do not have to be enrolled in the morning academic program to participate. Find a location near to you and register with the link below.

We know that you want to see quality dance that represents all of us for years to come, and now is the time to ensure that it is possible. Your donation or pledge will support fresh, innovative choreographic voices. Your participation will lead Malashock Dance into the future. Thank you to our generous donors who have already committed to helping us reach our goal to fund a THOUGHTFUL transition to new Artistic Leadership!
