Dear Friends,​

After more than a year of extremely limited in-person work with my Company dancers, I am SO excited to begin rehearsals for our live, spring production of THE BRIDGE. Tristian Griffin (co-creator of this project) and I have developed a beautiful, yet powerful, storyline for the work. We will be smart and safe working together in rehearsal and, of course, the performances will be in an outdoor venue at Liberty Station. I'm excited to get back to doing what we do best - DANCE!

Our Spring is full of ways you can interact with dance again! Join us in only a few weeks for our first ever virtual fundraiser: The Art of Dance Cyber Remix. You can donate ahead of time and receive a gift bag or donate at the event and help us meet our goals in real time. The event will feature lots of entertaining content that will inspire and move you. We also hope you will mark your calendar for The Bridge, premiering May 27 - 30, 2021 LIVE on a new outdoor stage developed collaboratively with San Diego Dance Theater and San Diego Ballet.

THE BRIDGE: Tickets on Sale SOON!

Malashock Dance proudly announces the World Premiere, live performances of THE BRIDGE, a vibrant new collaboration between Artistic Director, John Malashock and Choreographer, Tristian Griffin (Artistic Director of Tristian Griffin Dance Company in Kansas City, MO). Shows will take place May 27 – 30, 2021 at a new, outdoor performance venue at Liberty Station, and will be featured as part of the DANCE IS IN THE AIR Festival. The festival is being produced jointly by Malashock Dance, San Diego Ballet, and San Diego Dance Theater for six weeks from May 5 – June 13, 2021.

 
 

Back to the Studio!

With San Diego County moving back into Red tier, we can move all the classes we've been holding outdoors back into the studio! 

It's so great to see young dancers back in a space truly meant for dancing! 

Interested in joining? 

Contemporary I/II is Mondays from 3:45-4:45pm (ages 10-17) 
Dance Explorers is Fridays from 3:30-4:30pm (ages 6-10)

Weekly Classes & Camps!

We'll be offering weekly youth classes with online and in studio options as well as some in person half day camps from students!

Malashock Dance is thrilled to be back in the classroom (virtually) with our Math in Motion program and Zamorano Elementary and Rowan Elementary thanks to funding from the VAPA Foundation with support from Arts for Learning! We will also be starting virtual programming for elementary schools through the Liberty School Program of the NTC Foundation in April!
